Project Description

_

Shadgan Steel Industry Company, one of the eight key steel projects in the country, was inaugurated in 2006 on a 260-hectare site near Bandar Imam Khomeini. This complex, as the first producer of sponge iron using the PERED (Persian Direct Reduction) method with a capacity of 800,000 tons per year, commenced operation in 2017. Currently, the steelmaking section, including electric arc furnaces and continuous casting, is under construction, which upon completion will enable the full production cycle from iron ore to steel products.
