Project Description

The West Karun Combined Cycle Power Plant, with a capacity of 492 MW, is located 45 kilometers from Ahvaz and is the first private power plant of the MAPNA Group using E-Type technology (triple-pressure steam cycle). With an efficiency of 53%, this plant supplies electricity to four West Karun oil fields and the shared fields with Iraq. Its 20-year plan is based on a guaranteed power purchase agreement, playing a key role in the stability of oil projects.
