Iran LNG Company is constructing a natural gas liquefaction plant in Pars Special Economic Zone 2 (Bandar Tanbok, 50 km from Asaluyeh) with an annual production capacity of 10.8 million tons of LNG. This project, being developed by the National Iranian Gas Company and the Oil Pension Fund, comprises three main sections: 1) processing units and loading facilities, 2) LNG and LPG storage tanks, and 3) docks and ports. The plant will be supplied with feed gas from the South Pars gas field.
